So today is my introduction to A2, the second year of A-levels. I still have a full week before I go back fully though, but still, I’m not looking forward to it.
I did well in my AS levels, getting a few good grades, but for some reason I have no motivation to go back to sixth form. I don’t know fully why, but I think it may be due to not being able to go to university in England afterwards due to the cost is part of the reason. Plus, this summer has been great without sixth form. Having all the time in the world to cycle and not having to do anything each day, being able to do your own thing.
I won’t be able to cycle into sixth form for a few weeks due to not having a commuting bike, and not having the funds since I buy some essential things for the Focus Cayo, so no funds available for a commuting bike for a few weeks.
I think not cycling into sixth form is going to make my days much more horrible. Cycling woke me up in the mornings, made me feel fresh, something which the bus dosn’t. It was also very good hill training going to sixth form since it sits at the top of a 5% hill. I also looked forward to the cycle home at the end of a very tiring, stressful day, it let me relax and got me tired so I had a good nights sleep.
I might try walking to college on a few days (8 miles along the canal) or a mixture of cycling to my dads work, then walking to sixth form (7 miles, then 2 miles). Just to try and keep fit, because in a few months, it’ll be too dark and cold to be cycling either before I go to sixth form or when I get home. I may get a turbo trainer to keep fit over the winter, but nothing is as good as getting out on the road.
So, overall. I’m not looking forward to going back to sixth form, and my cycling is going to suffer. Great. Lets just hope that I have a nice timetable so I can fit more cycling in.
