Adam and I had a few plans for some videos to make for our Youtube channel. We decided that we would film them over last week. For a lot of our plans, it would require camera shots from the helmet camera of us riding etc.
The day before we were to go for a ride to film some of the content, I charged up my camera, and tested it still worked. It charged up, but the button on the top of the camera had broken. It would not let me record anything. I took the camera apart, and saw what the problem was, the switch which triggered the recording had broken off, and would need soldering back on.
The camera had never been dropped, or had any impact on it, so I really don’t understand how it could of broke off since it was only 6 months old.
I took it back to Evans, where I had brought it from and they said it was still under warranty so will send it back to Veho to get it repaired/replaced.
It was a good piece of kit, very lightweight and small with a decent image quality, and this has been the only problem with it since I’ve got it.
But why did it have to happen the day before we had it all planned! Now we’ve got to wait for it to be returned before we can get some videos up. Plus, with college starting again, we won’t have as much free time 😦
Still, I’d recommend it 🙂
