No, we’re not talking about Adam’s love for James Blunt or Shania Twain here. We’re talking about mine.
Custard creams and cream crackers. They are my downfall. I would happily eat 10+ custard creams in a night, one a week, but never noticed that they were so bad for you. I decided to have a quick look at the nutritional information last night, it was shocking. 60 kCal per biscuit! Now, these are tasty, but 60 kCal is outrageous! So, I could eat about 600 kCals just in custard creams! That is about 1/5th of my recommended daily intake.
There was also about 3g of fat in each biscuit, so that means about 30g of fat eaten. That’s about a third of my fat intake aswell.
I thought cream crackers were quite healthy, because I eat them dry, but no. 35 kcal each one. And I can eat a few of them a night.
So, no more custard creams or cream crackers for me. Going to turn my cravings to something else, it looks like homemade ice lollies at the moment, practically no nutritional value, and keeps the hunger at bay 😀
